Washington K-9 College provides counseling and training for dogs with behavior issues to help them become better K-9 citizens. Obedience Training Our training is based on the concept that dogs are: intelligent creatures, have the right to humane treatment, need to understand what is wanted by their masters, are happiest when they are trained, most problems can be solved through training, and all dogs can be trained. The course is built around the principles established by the AKC Good Canine Citizen program. Behavior Problems and Aggression Behavior problems and aggression in dogs is caused by a number of situations. The primary cause is inadvertent mistraining or mishandling by the dog's handlers or owners. Other causes can be such things as: The dog is fearful, May be a female in season, May be un-altered male, May be acting from normal dog instinct such as self protection or hunting drives. We can evaluate your dog's behavior and provide real ways to correct undesirable character traits.
